A Primer to Halogen Bulbs

Released in the 1950s, the halogen bulb is also a type of incandescent light bulb. It became a popular selection for headlights, halogen torchiere floor lamps, and other applications that needed very bright lighting for it is capable of burning much more forcefully than regular ones. Not to mention that halogen floor lamps are also more eco friendly and longer lasting than the ordinary types. The halogen bulb’s inner workings consist of a tungsten filament enclosed in another material, just like a conventional bulb. The tungsten filament rises in temperature and puts out light with electricity; this is basically how light bulbs work. But the tungsten begins to break down as the filament heats up. Dark deposits start to form as the broken down tungsten accumulates inside the bulbs of halogen desk lamps. The light bulb will burn out eventually since the filament will burst at a weak point.
