Making the bed room safe

When it comes to kids, it seems the chances of an accident increase 100 fold. So let’s view at some tips to help prevent accidents in your home.

1. Kids love to climb on things so it’s important that you have things anchored down really good. Book shelves and night stands are the most common thing for tipping over. If possible, you should secure the book shelf to the wall and use a lower and heavier night stand in the bedroom. If you have put things together yourself, such as a bed, make sure that it is really sturdy. Children are notorious for jumping on beds and they will do it.
2. You may love your hardwood or tiled floors but these are dangers for children. They are always slippery when wearing slippers or if something has spilt on them. You should buy some cheap area rugs or carpet to cover the main walking areas. I’ve even heard people putting hello kitty bedding on the floor as a cover.

These are only a few suggestions you can do to keep your home safe for kid’s. Always be on the lookout for hazards you might have missed.
