My family is suffering from this recession and enormous loads of debt
The lending organizations are really suffering presently and because of this are passing their problems on to the everyday consumer. They are minimizing credit limits, jacking up interest rates, and withholding on giving out credit all together. This is making a large problem for everyone of us who have credit cards and use them for every purchase. I feel as if my credit cards are getting larger and larger every time I go to charge them because of the constantly rising APR. Even if I had the desire to enact a balance transfer, I can’t because the other banks offering lower rates aren’t issuing them currently. So I’m stuck charging the cards I’m already currently depending on, at an elevated interest rate. It’s getting to the condition that I may need to let the bills go and use a debt relief company to negotiate the bills. I was good paying down the cards before this economic crisis, before the banks were tying my hands together.
