UK Festival Announce Kasabian As Headliners
It has been announced that 2010 will see Kasabian taking part in at the summer gig T in the Park. The festival is meant to take place near to Kinross at July 9-11, 2010. Even more bandsts will be confirmed as the main musicians in the near future. It has not been confirmed what dates Kasabian will play. NME reports that T in the Park is one of Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan’s mostloved concerts to perform.
He said: “T in the Park is one of the band’s favourite places to playfestivals the band looks forward tosaid how much we’d love to play live at it and now we are confirmed it’s a dream come true. We are counting down the days until we can headlineblinder and it’s going to be amazing for us and for the people there.”
DF Concert managing director Geoff Ellis reported that the band’s live reputation helped them win the much-cherised position as festival headliner.
“I’m chuffed to bits that we can confirm one of our main acts so soon,” Ellis said. “Kasabian blow me away every time I see them and they’re going to be great headliners. We’ve had lots of fans tell us they want to see Kasabian headline T in the Park so it’s great to be able to give them an early xmas present!”
A limited quantity of tickets will be available to purchase at the beginning of December 4 at 9am, although the festival’s full band list is yet to be announced.
